Chipstead Listed House Extension

Reorientation of the space plus additional roof-light and glass link between the house and outbuilding

The house is dated circa 1650 and is Grade II listed. The kitchen diner looked onto a modern outbuilding which obstructed views of the beautiful garden and diminished natural sunlight. We worked closely with the planners in gaining approval for the demolition of a few rooms and reorientation of the space to face directly down the garden with glass link to existing house and rooflight over the newly formed area. The extension was carried out respectfully in conjunction to the original house as well as historic caves below ground.
